Privacy Policy
Your browsing history and private files belong on your device. This policy explains the separate information used to run accounts, sync the items you choose, improve VaultRoo, and measure how people find the App.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to VaultRoo and the website at vaultroo.online. Features and settings can differ by App version. AI CORTEX NEXUS LIMITED is responsible for the information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email aotemanai2023@163.com.
2. Browsing and private files
Browsing history, downloads, File Vault contents, PIN settings, protected content, and Second Space content are kept in the App’s local storage. Website sessions are handled by WebKit; regular-space session cookies may be protected in the iOS Keychain to help maintain website sign-ins. Device backups are subject to your iOS settings.
Our product analytics does not include webpage addresses, page titles, search terms, passwords, bookmark contents, file names, or file contents. Private browsing, Second Space, locked, and protected scenes are excluded from ordinary feature-usage analytics.
When you browse a website, that website and any services it loads receive ordinary network requests, which may include your IP address and browser information. Search queries go to your chosen search engine. Those websites have their own privacy practices; using VaultRoo does not make you anonymous to them.
3. Accounts and favorites sync
A device account supports access to services, feature allowances, and entitlements. If you choose an available sign-in method, we process the identifier and authentication information needed to verify and link your account. Sign in with Apple is verified using Apple identity credentials.
After sign-in, ordinary favorites, bookmarks, reading-list entries, and folders in the main space can sync to the same account. The service needs the saved links, titles, folder relationships, and change information for those items. This is separate from analytics. Protected content, Second Space, browsing history, and downloaded files are not included in favorites cloud sync.
Signing out stops account sync on that device. It does not itself delete your account or previously synced items. Contact us if you want to request deletion of account or server-held information.
4. Feature improvement and measurement
In current versions, Feature Improvement is enabled on a new installation. A previously saved off setting is respected. You can turn it off in App Settings.
When enabled, limited information may include installation and event identifiers, App and operating-system versions, device type, language and region settings, app opens, foreground time, feature entry points, successful page-opening counts, operation results, aggregate counts of ordinary saved items and tabs, whether App PIN protection is enabled, and subscription-related actions or entitlement outcomes. Usage records may be associated with the account after sign-in. We use this information to understand feature use, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
We may use Google Firebase, Meta, TikTok, and Apple Ads measurement integrations, when configured and enabled, to measure installations, activation, app use, or campaign performance. Relevant information can include pseudonymous installation identifiers, basic App/device information, event timing, and campaign attribution information. Apple Ads attribution uses an AdServices token. The attribution payloads are separate from your browsing and private-file contents.
Turning Feature Improvement off clears the App’s local analytics queue and stops future optional analytics collection. The App requests revocation of its current server analytics and attribution records where supported; requests that cannot be sent immediately may be retried. Contact us for other privacy or deletion requests, including information already processed by measurement providers.
5. Purchases
Apple processes App Store subscriptions and payments. VaultRoo uses transaction and entitlement information to provide paid features, restore purchases, and manage access. We do not receive your full payment-card number. Manage subscription renewal and cancellation through your Apple account. Apple’s own privacy policy also applies to its services.
6. Permissions and requested services
Photos and Files access is used when you choose to import, export, or save content. Speech recognition and translation features may use supported on-device or Apple services. Permissions are requested for the related feature and can be changed in iOS Settings. Media downloads and previews require requests to the relevant website or media provider.
7. This website
The site stores your manual language choice in browser local storage. Automatic language selection uses the languages reported by your browser. Video demonstrations are served from this site.
If you arrive through a TrafficFactory campaign link, a campaign click identifier may be kept in session storage with an expiry timestamp 24 hours after arrival, checked when the page loads. Clicking an App Store download button can send that identifier to our attribution service to measure the button click. A button click is not treated as proof of an installation. Our hosting infrastructure also processes technical request information needed to deliver and secure the site.
You can remove the website’s stored preferences and session data using your browser’s site-data controls. This does not delete App data or account information.
8. Protection, retention, and sharing
We use iOS security facilities, encryption where applicable, and protected network connections. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device protected and retain your own copies of important files.
Local data remains until you delete it or remove the App, subject to device backups. Server information is retained as needed to provide the relevant service, maintain security, fulfill legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Deleting local App data or signing out does not automatically delete server-held records.
Information may be processed by hosting, authentication, analytics, and attribution providers for the purposes described above, including outside your country. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect the service and users. We do not sell your browsing history or private files.
9. Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact aotemanai2023@163.com to make a request. We may need information to verify that the request relates to your account. Do not send PINs, vault passwords, or private files in your request.
10. Children and changes
VaultRoo is a general-purpose browser, not a service directed to children. It accesses the open web; device-level restrictions and appropriate supervision remain important.
We may update this policy when features or requirements change. The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate product or website notices.
